Understand Kerala Lottery Ticket Prices

Kerala lottery tickets are priced between ₹30 to ₹50 for weekly lotteries (Win-Win, Sthree Sakthi, Akshaya, Karunya Plus, Nirmal, Karunya). Bumper lottery tickets (Onam, Christmas, Vishu, Summer, Pooja bumpers) cost between ₹100 to ₹200. Prices are fixed by the government and are the same at all authorized agents. Any agent charging more is unauthorized.

Weekly lottery tickets are most affordable at ₹30-₹50 with good prize distribution.

Find an Authorized Lottery Agent

Look for authorized lottery agents in your area. Authorized agents display official Kerala State Lotteries board and license number. You can find agents at: Lottery retail outlets (dedicated lottery shops), Small shops, tea stalls, and kiosks with lottery boards, and Bus stands and railway stations. Verify the agent's authorization certificate before purchasing.

Tip

Authorized agents have a license certificate displayed prominently. Always check for this certificate.

Choose Your Lottery Scheme

Select which lottery scheme you want to participate in based on the day and prize structure: Monday - Win-Win (W) ₹30, First prize ₹75 lakhs; Tuesday - Sthree Sakthi (SS) ₹40, First prize ₹75 lakhs; Wednesday - Akshaya (AK) ₹40, First prize ₹70 lakhs; Thursday - Karunya Plus (KN) ₹40, First prize ₹80 lakhs; Friday - Nirmal (NR) ₹40, First prize ₹70 lakhs; Saturday - Karunya (KR) ₹40, First prize ₹80 lakhs. Or choose bumper lotteries for higher prizes.

Tip

Karunya and Karunya Plus offer the highest weekly prizes at ₹80 lakhs for first prize.

Check Ticket Availability Timing

Lottery tickets for each scheme become available from 10:00 AM on the day they are scheduled for sale. For example, Win-Win lottery tickets (Monday draw) are available from the previous Monday at 10:00 AM. Tickets are sold until they run out or until just before the draw. It's best to buy tickets early in the morning to get better serial numbers and ensure availability.

Select Your Ticket Serial Number

When buying from an agent, you can often choose your preferred serial number from the available tickets. Some people prefer specific numbers based on lucky numbers, patterns, or sequences. However, all ticket numbers have equal probability of winning - it's purely random. Agents typically let you browse available numbers before purchasing.

While serial numbers don't affect winning odds, choosing your own number can make the experience more personal.

Verify Ticket Authenticity

Before paying, carefully inspect the ticket to verify its authenticity: Check for Kerala State Lotteries watermark and logo, Verify the ticket serial number is clearly printed, Check the draw date and scheme code (W, SS, AK, KN, NR, KR), Ensure there are no tears, stains, or damage, Look for security features like holographic elements. Reject any ticket that looks suspicious or damaged.

Make Payment and Receive Your Ticket

Pay the exact ticket price in cash to the authorized agent. The agent will give you the physical ticket. Do NOT accept photocopies, printed copies, or digital tickets - only original physical tickets are valid. Keep the payment receipt if the agent provides one (though most small transactions don't include receipts).

Tip

Count your change carefully and never pay more than the official ticket price.

Sign and Safely Store Your Ticket

Immediately after purchasing: Sign the back of your ticket with your name and phone number, Take a clear photo of the ticket (front and back) for your records, Store the original ticket in a safe, dry place (wallet, envelope, locker), Never laminate or damage the ticket in any way. The original physical ticket is the only valid proof for claiming prizes.

Tip

Store tickets in a plastic sleeve or envelope to protect from moisture and damage.

Remember the Draw Date and Time

Note the draw date and time on your calendar: All draws are conducted at 3:00 PM IST on the scheduled day, Results are published immediately after the draw, Check results on kerala-lottery-result.com from 3:05 PM onwards, You have 30 days from the draw date to claim any prize. Set a reminder to check results on the draw day.

Tip

Set a phone alarm or calendar reminder for 3:00 PM on the draw date.
